Rigidal's origins go back to the late 1970's when the company then named Talfab Building Products was formed as a stockholder
of imported aluminium cladding. In 1991 UK production began at Brierley Hill in the West Midlands followed by the acquisition
of Alcan Building Products in 1994 and the move to the current head quarters in Worcester. The take-over of Alcan Building
Products also saw the acquisition of the manufacturing plant in Dubai. 1996 saw the introduction of continuous foam injected
composite panel manufacture in the Middle East. The Dubai operation is now independent, but close commercial and technical
co-operation continues.
2006 saw the setting up of a European headquarters in France, and in 2007 an operation was set up as a joint venture in
China to service the needs of the growing Far Eastern market.
