The ability to taper and curve the Ziplok sheets means that the design possibilities are virtually endless. This is complemented by equally sophisticated perimeter detailing ensuring that the whole system can achieve the highest possible aesthetic standards.

Tapers

Ziplok is available roll tapered on a highly automated tapering machine. This state of the art machine, capable of rolling tapers in a single pass from coil, allows production of tapered sheet at a similar rate to parallel sheet. Being mobile means that tapering can be carried out on site if required, even at eaves level if necessary, which in turn means that the length of tapered sheet is not restricted by either transport or production capabilities. Tapered sheets will self curve to a 45 metre radius, and tighter radii can be pre-curved on site or in RigiSystems' factory.

Curves

Ziplok can be curved in a variety of ways in order to suit the required application. Profiles can be concave or convex curved. They will self curve to a large radius, otherwise they can be mechanically smooth curved down to 5 metre radius convex curves, or 11 metre radius concave curves. If required profiles can be crimp curved down to 750mm radius. For economical curves, design above 45 metre convex radius.

Wave forms

If required, profiles can be wave formed, incorporating both curves in one profile sheet.

In all cases, the unique micro ribbing of the Ziplok profile helps to maintain a clean, crisp curved appearance.

“Hockey Stick” curves

These are long lengths of profiled sheet with a very tight radius at one end. Uniquely, RigiSystems Ziplok can be crimp curved to 0.75m radius on the end of a long sheet of 100m or more.

Used on roof or vertical elevations, generally without gutters, allowing free drainage down vertical face.
