Thermohalter System

RigiSystems' unique Thermohalter can be used in the traditional RigiSystems Ziplok system without cold bridging through the system. The liner sheet acts as a template for setting out the halters on site, making this system not only world beating in terms of performance but also very cost effective, quick and easy to install.
Purlin Based Thermohalter

Advantages

  • Ideal for pitched roof applications
  • Shallow construction depth: 225mm deep
  • ‘U’ values of 0.16 W/n2K achievable with combination of spacer/Thermohalter
  • Lowers the possibility of interstitial condensation
  • Good sound reduction capability i.e. 40db

Corogrid Bar and Bracket System
For more complex roof shapes, the Ziplok system can incorporate Corogrid bar and bracket system, where the traditional aluminium halter is mounted on a galvanised rail which in turn is mounted on galvanised brackets. The use of Corogrid enables the halter pitch to be varied to accommodate tapered sheet or tight radii, whilst maintaining the acoustic and thermal performance. Corogrid Bar and Bracket System
Advantages
  • Ideal for pitched or curved roof construction
  • Corogrid spacer bar offers flexibility of different halter spacings especially on curved or tapered roofs
  • Good sound reduction capability i.e. 40db

Thermohalter/Deck System
Structural decking offers a simplified method of construction by dispensing with the need for purlins.

The structural deck is used to span the portal frames of the building, thereby using fewer components and giving clean lines to the interior of the building.

Decking can be solid or web perforated, dependant on the nature of the acoustic requirements to be accommodated within this system.

RigiSystems also offer a range of structural liner trays, both solid and perforated, which while normally used in wall applications can also be applied in roof applications where a flush interior finish is required.
Thermohalter Deck System

Advantages
  • Ideal for pitched or curved roof construction
  • Offers wide clear spans up to 9 metres
  • Using Thermohalter can reduce the depth of the construction
  • “Stressed skin” steelwork restraint capabilities
  • Point loads on structural deck can be more evenly spread
  • Thermohalter constructions ideal for swimming pool projects or other high humidity applications
  • Good sound reduction capability i.e. 40db or more
Corogrid Bar and Bracket/Deck System
This is a variation on the original Bar and Bracket system to offer long span capability.

Advantages
  • Ideal for pitched or curved roof construction
  • Offers wide clear spans up to 9 metres
  • Corogrid spacer offers flexibility and economy
  • “Stressed skin” steelwork support capabilities
  • Good sound reduction capability i.e. 40db or better
Corogrid Deck System

Purlin based systems offer good sound absorption internally but limited sound reduction capability.

Thermohalter/Acoustic liner purlin based system
Advantages
  • Ideal for pitched roof applications
  • Shallow construction depth: 225mm deep
  • ‘U’ values of 0.16 W/m2K achievable with a combination of spacer bar and Thermohalters

Corogrid/Bar and Bracket Acoustic liner purlin based system
Advantages
  • Ideal for pitched or curved roof applications
  • ‘U’ values of 0.16 W/m2K achievable with combination of spacer bar and Thermohalter.
  • Suitable for swimming pool applications when aluminium components are used.
  • Good sound absorption capability

Thermohalter/Acoustic Deck System
Advantages
  • Suitable for pitched or curved roof applications
  • Offers clear spans up to 9 metres
  • Ideal for sports halls
  • “Stressed skin” steelwork support capability
  • Moderate sound reduction capability: 30db
  • Good sound absorbency capability

Corogrid Bar and Bracket/Acoustic Deck System
Similar to Thermohalter system but slightly deeper in construction depth.

Advantages
  • Suitable for pitched or curved roof applications
  • Offers clear spans up to 9 metres
  • Ideal for sports halls
  • “Stressed skin” steelwork support capability
  • Good sound absorbency capability

Three layer system

RigiSystems has pioneered the three layer system of standing seam roof construction.

When utilising a perforated liner or deck in conjunction with a high density layer of insulation, significant sound absorption can be achieved. By incorporating a middle layer of steel sheet, exceptional sound absorption properties can be achieved in conjunction with good sound reduction.

Three layer system purlin based
Advantages
  • Offers all the advantages of previous systems but with higher levels of sound reduction and absorbency.
  • Laboratory tested system. Full test data available to specifiers of this system.
